About this design
和 (wa) means harmony — and it is also the character used for Japan itself, as in washoku (Japanese food) and washi (Japanese paper). Two goldfish circle each other in perfect balance beside the character.
A gentle choice for a home, a café or a restaurant doorway: a quiet wish for good relationships with everyone who passes beneath it.
Part of Kage-e (Series 02): picture-led. ink silhouettes, made to be seen lit.
