About this design
一期一会 (ichigo ichie) means “one time, one meeting” — the idea, rooted in the Japanese tea ceremony, that every encounter happens only once and should be treasured.
Written in bold brushstrokes on our long lantern: a meaningful gift, and a warm message for guests at a café or restaurant.
Part of Kotoba (Series 01): word-led. one japanese word and its meaning.
